Minimum Qualifications:
  • Minimum 21 years of age
  • Ability to travel independently
  • Ability to carry out instructions in written, verbal, or diagram form
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several variables in standardized situations
  • Commitment to providing excellent customer service
  • Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and manuals
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
  • Effective communication skills in one-on-one and small group situations
  • Valid Commercial Class A CDL driver's license
  • Must meet all Federal Department of Transportation physical requirements for a Class A CDL driver
  • Familiarity with trucking terms and processes
  • Ability to back 53' trailers safely into store docks or vendor locations
  • Ability to operate special equipment such as over-the-road tractors, refrigeration units, dollies, electric or manual pallet jacks
  • At least 1 year's active driving experience with doubles experience or equivalent
Desired Previous Job Experience:
  • One year tractor/trailer driving experience
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Drive truck to deliver goods to stores and customers
  • Adhere to all safety standards
  • Inspect truck for defects before, during, and after trips
  • Check refrigeration trailer for malfunctions
  • Weigh loads
  • Unload merchandise at store
  • Pick up goods at vendor locations and verify products and quantities
  • Maintain flexibility to work any shift, including weekends
  • Perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Perform basic mathematical calculations as needed
