American Metals Supply is seeking a CDL Class A Truck Driver for a Groveport, OH route with 5:00 AM starts. The role involves pre-trip inspections, delivering HVAC and sheet metal products, and unloading at customer sites along a set Northeast Ohio/Southwest Pennsylvania route.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Begin your day at 5:00 AM by conducting a thorough pre-trip inspection in accordance with FMCSA regulations.
• Safely operate a Class A truck on the assigned route.
• Complete a set run serving Northeast Ohio and Southwest Pennsylvania, 3–5 times per week.
• Make timely, accurate customer deliveries.
• Provide excellent customer service at delivery locations.
• Assist with warehouse operations and loading for next-day deliveries.

Groveport, OH | 5:00 AM Start | Set Route | Home Every Evening | $30+/hr
American Metals Supply is hiring a CDL Class A Truck Driver for our Groveport location. Your day will begin at 5:00 AM with a pre-trip inspection before departing on a set run serving Northeast Ohio or Southwest Pennsylvania depending on the route day.
The run is approximately 3.5 hours one way and will be completed 3–5 times per week. No overnight stays are required—you'll be home every single evening.
This is a hands‑on truck driver position that includes customer deliveries, unloading HVAC and sheet metal products, and assisting with warehouse operations.

As a CDL Class A Truck Driver, you will:

• Begin your day at 5:00 AM by conducting a thorough pre‑trip inspection in accordance with FMCSA regulations.
• Safely and efficiently operate a Class A commercial truck on the assigned route.
• Complete a set run serving Northeast Ohio and Southwest Pennsylvania approximately 3–5 times per week, with travel of about 3.5 hours each way.
• Make timely, accurate customer deliveries.
• Provide excellent customer service and address customer questions or concerns at delivery locations.
• Actively unload, handle, and organize materials with care.
• Complete required transportation and delivery documentation accurately.
• Operate forklifts and use barcode RF scanners to support loading, unloading, and inventory accuracy.
• Work with the warehouse team to load your truck for the following day's deliveries.
• Assist with warehouse operations during non‑route time.
• Follow company safety procedures during truck operation, deliveries, and warehouse activities.

• Valid Class A commercial driver's license (CDL).
• Current DOT medical card.
• Previous truck driving or related experience preferred.
• Warehouse experience required.
• Experience operating a forklift and using an RF scanner.
• Safe driving record and a strong commitment to safe truck operation.
• Ability to begin work at 5:00 AM and complete the assigned delivery run.
• Ability to perform the physical requirements of the truck driver position, including frequent loading and unloading and entering and exiting the truck.
• Ability to walk approximately 10,000 steps daily—about five miles—on concrete floors.
• Strong work ethic and a dependable, customer‑focused attitude.
• Ability to work effectively with customers, fellow truck drivers, and the warehouse team.
