Job summary

Cornerstone Building Brands in Londonderry, NH seeks a full-time Driver for daytime shifts to transport and unload Harvey's windows and doors to customers, dealers, and job sites.

Responsibilities include route preparation, pre/post-trip inspections, safe handling, DOT compliance, customer service, and accurate paperwork. The role requires 2 years of tractor-trailer experience, ability to lift 50 lbs, and willingness to travel.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to obtain a D.O.T. Medical Certificate.
• 2 years of tractor trailer driving experience including winter driving.
• Previous hands on delivery experience preferred.
• Thorough knowledge of traffic laws and defensive driving.
• Customer relations skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a continual basis.
• Must be able to load and unload items, with and without dollies, in various types of weather.
• Must be able to travel frequently.

Responsibilities

• Reviews load sheet and load for the day's deliveries.
• Performs pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the equipment.
• Fuels the vehicle and authorizes fuel bill.
• Transports materials in a safe and efficient manner.
• Observes all DOT regulations, rules of the road, and defensive driving techniques.
• Locates customer's business/residence and confers with client as to where to unload materials.
• Safely unloads materials, checks quality, reviews packing slip with customer, and secures customer signature.
• Deals with customers in a courteous and professional fashion and accommodates customers' requests whenever possible.
• Picks up materials from vendors, and checks and verifies quality and quantity of materials before receipt.
• Returns to plant and unloads vehicle.
• Rotates functions with the department as needed and assigned by Supervisor.
• Performs all functions according to sound safety principles, company policies, and procedures.
• Notifies Shipping Supervisor of any existing or potential safety issues.
• Report any incidents and accidents promptly.
• Completes all necessary paperwork and documentation neatly, timely, and accurately including driver's logs, timecards, etc
• Must meet company appearance standards.
• Communicates effectively across and within company departments.
• Maintains good housekeeping in the department.
• Scan all product via handheld device provided.
• All other duties as assigned.
