Pembroke & Co. in Maine is seeking a Freight Truck Dispatcher to manage day-to-day dispatch for a growing team of Class A CDL drivers. You will keep loads moving, solve issues, and make quick decisions in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires hands-on dispatch experience, effective communication, and a collaborative approach within a close-knit team. Local work site in Maine with a Monday–Friday schedule and overtime opportunities.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on tractor-trailer dispatch experience (required).
• Experience in a carrier dispatch environment with CDL Class A drivers.
• Familiarity with ICC regulations and safety awareness (preferred).
• Experience using Google Suite, Profit Tools, FourKites, and TMS Scheduling (preferred).
• Ability to troubleshoot and proactively address problems.

Responsibilities

• Dispatch and manage schedules for Class A CDL drivers, assign loads, and adjust schedules as needed.
• Utilize TMS & logistic software to coordinate routes, loads, deliveries, and pick-ups.
• Serve as main point of contact for drivers and inform all parties of load status, delays, and changes.
• Troubleshoot and resolve customer inquiries, delays, breakdowns, and rerouting needs quickly.
• Partner with brokerage and internal teams to ensure efficient load planning and execution.
• Coordinate with brokerage to qualify carriers and administer paperwork.
• Maintain accurate records and track load progress for on-time performance.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
