CLASS A TRANSPORT DRIVER - DURHAM NC - *HAZMAT REQUIRED* - START TIME 5PM

Join us to apply for the Class A Transport Driver role at Airgas.

Position Details

• Location: Durham, NC
• Schedule: Monday - Friday, occasional weekends
• Start Time: 5 PM to 2 AM (evening start)
• Pay Rate: $27.00 - $28.00 per hour
• Performance Bonus: Monthly from $500 to $875
• Type of Work: Local Delivery
• Average Hours: 40+ hours/week
• Miles per day: Up to 450
• Stops per day: 2 to 4
• Equipment: Truck and 48ft Flatbed Trailer

Job Responsibilities

• Drive a Class A Hazmat vehicle with compressed and liquid cylinders, and hard goods.
• Haul gases safely between branches.
• Complete and maintain paperwork per Airgas SOP.
• Unload and load trucks, perform truck inspections.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of CDL Class A or B experience with similar equipment, or graduate from an accredited truck driving school.
• Ability to read, interpret safety and operation manuals, and write routine reports.
• Effective communication skills.
• Basic math skills.
• Ability to solve practical problems and interpret instructions.

Work Environment

Regular exposure to outside weather conditions.

Drive Cam in trucks; no electronics/Bluetooth allowed while driving; modern fleet with advanced safety tech.
