BCI Materials (https://bcimaterials.com/), a division of Blythe Construction Inc., has the following career opportunity: Interstate Commerce CDL Class A Tanker Driver responsible for the safe and efficient transport and delivery of Liquid Emulsion products across North Carolina, South Carolina, Florida, and Virginia.

Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Transport and deliver Liquid Emulsion Products safely and efficiently across North Carolina, South Carolina, Florida, and Virginia.
- Visually and physically inspect vehicle components for operating defects; complete Pre/Post trip Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports.
- Monitor vehicle indicators for fluid levels such as oil, water, and fuel during operation.
- Perform pre-shift safety checks for fluid levels, leaks, and damage before operating the vehicle.
- Notify supervisor if the vehicle requires repairs.
- Communicate regularly with Dispatch and/or Supervisor.
- Interpret and follow dispatched routing for pickups and deliveries.
- Work day or night shifts as required.
- Perform incidental duties within the Emulsion Production Facility in Charlotte, NC.
Skills, Qualifications, and Knowledge
- Valid CDL Class A license with “Tanker” endorsement.
- HazMat endorsement required at application or to be obtained within 90 days (company pays for endorsement).
- Current medical examiner’s certificate (FMCSR part 391.41).
- Proficiency in English (oral and written), including telephone communication.
- Pass DOT drug and alcohol pre-employment test.
- No DUI convictions within the past 5 years.
Education and Experience
- Must be at least 21 years old.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Prior interstate tractor-trailer experience hauling liquid materials.
Physical Demands
- Frequent sitting and driving; using hands, arms, legs for vehicle operation.
- Periodic standing and walking for inspections.
- Access vehicle via steps, using three points of contact.
- Visual and hearing abilities required.
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs for vehicle maintenance tasks.
Work Environment
- Primarily performed in the cab of a tractor-trailer on public/private roads in various weather conditions.
