Job summary

Same Day Delivery, Inc. in Holland, MI is seeking a CDL Class A Switcher Driver to shuttle trailers within our campus yard. Each workday begins at the Holland facility, with direction from Dispatch to move empty and loaded trailers while upholding high safety and professional standards.

The role features a 4 Days On / 4 Days Off schedule, 1st shift from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, and overtime after 40 hours. We offer $25/hour with weekly pay, PTO within the first year, and comprehensive benefits

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL
• Minimum 21 years of age
• Able to pass a DOT pre-employment drug screen
• Able to pass a background check
• Able to obtain/maintain a DOT Medical Card

Responsibilities

• Shuttle trailers within a campus/yard as directed by dispatch
• Move empty and loaded trailers safely and efficiently
• Communicate with dispatch about trailer availability/issues
• Complete required paperwork accurately and timely
• Collect signatures and scan documents as required
• Report vehicle maintenance issues through the inspection process
• Maintain a clean and professional vehicle
• Operate equipment safely per DOT regulations
• Finish all required safety/training

Schedule

• 4 Days On / 4 Days Off
• 1st Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM

Position Overview

This position involves shuttling trailers within a designated campus / yard environment. Drivers will begin each day at a facility in Holland Mi. Drivers will move empty and loaded trailers as directed by dispatch while maintaining a high standard of safety, communication, and professionalism.

• $25 per hour
• Weekly pay
• Overtime paid after 40 hours (Average 48-50 hours per week)
• Paid Time Off available within your first year

Position Requirements

• Valid Class A CDL
• Minimum 21 years of age
• Ability to pass a DOT pre‑employment drug screen
• Ability to pass a pre‑employment background check
• Ability to obtain and maintain a valid DOT Medical Card

Duties & Responsibilities

• Shuttle trailers within a designated campus or yard as directed by dispatch
• Pick up and move freight safely and efficiently
• Communicate clearly with dispatch regarding trailer availability and issues
• Complete required paperwork accurately and timely
• Collect signatures and scan documents as required
• Report vehicle maintenance issues through the vehicle inspection report
• Maintain a clean and professional vehicle
• Operate equipment safely and in compliance with DOT regulations
• Complete all required safety and operational training
• Report directly to the Driver Supervisor
