Job summary

Ecology Auto Parts, Inc. is seeking qualified Class A Roll-Off Drivers to join our Transportation team in Downey, CA. The role requires a valid CDL and a strong safety/compliance mindset to ensure timely and secure transport of recyclable materials.

We offer a competitive hourly wage and a comprehensive benefits package. This field-based position reports to the Operations Manager and may require early starts, longer shifts, and alternating Saturdays.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL required.
• Minimum of 2 years of verifiable Class A experience.
• Strong understanding of DOT regulations and safety protocols.
• Familiarity with electronic logging devices (ELDs) and logbook requirements.
• Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds as needed.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate Class A roll-off trucks to transport containers and materials between locations.
• Adhere to DOT regulations and company policies for safe transportation.
• Inspect and maintain equipment and report safety concerns.
• Load, transport, secure, and unload roll-off containers per procedures.
• Complete required paperwork accurately and on time (DVIRs, logbooks, receipts).
• Communicate with dispatch, operations, customers, and team members to ensure efficiency.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections for compliance.
• Follow routes and schedules, adapting to operational changes as needed.
• Maintain a clean and professional appearance of equipment.
• Comply with environmental regulations when handling recyclable materials.
