Responsibilities and Duties
- Conduct all pre‑trip responsibilities, including checking route numbers and account numbers for assigned deliveries, counting items, checking customer invoices, and performing the pre‑trip safety check inspection of truck and trailer per DOT/FMCSA regulations.
- Drive to and deliver customer orders following all DOT/FMCSA, state regulations, and GFI procedures and protocols.
- Maintain load temperatures according to specifications.
- Unload products from the trailer using a hand truck or by hand and place them in designated customer storage areas.
- Verify delivery of items with customers, obtain proper signatures, collect payment when required, and contact management for authorization in case of discrepancies on the invoice. Communicate all errors/returns.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum age of 21.
- Valid CDL license (Class A or B, depending on route requirements).
- TWIC card required.
- Refrigeration experience required.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs, push/pull up to 75 lbs, ascend and descend a step up to 17 inches from the floor, and climb up and down 3 rungs of a ladder with the first rung at 21 inches from the ground.
- Consistent, regular attendance and punctuality are essential. Employees must be able to work scheduled shifts, including overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed to support business and operational needs.
