Carlile Transportation is actively seeking a Line Driver (CDL, Class A) in Houston, TX. This full-time role requires a CDL, passport, and a willingness to drive over long distances (OTR).

Base pay is hourly with mileage per trip, and the position emphasizes safety and compliance. The job involves pre/post-trip inspections, log maintenance, and coordination with dispatch to ensure timely deliveries across Alaska, Canada, and the Lower 48.

Qualifications

• Valid CDL, Class A license.
• Clean driving record and strong safety focus.
• Ability to operate in extreme weather and cross into Canada with a valid passport.
• OTR (over the road) position.
• Strong attention to detail and compliance.
• Ability to work independently and follow DOT regulations.
• Strong communication and time management skills.

Responsabilités

• Safely operate commercial vehicles over long distances.
• Transport freight in compliance with DOT and company regulations.
• Base hourly rate plus mileage per trip.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
• Maintain accurate logs and documentation.
• Communicate with dispatch and operations teams.
