Job summary

DHT Group in Lima, OH is seeking CDL-A Hazmat Tanker Owner Operators to join our Propane & Butane Division. You’ll earn a strong 70% linehaul share plus 100% fuel surcharge, with weekly direct deposit settlements and an established customer base.

Operate throughout Ohio and surrounding regional service areas, loading at terminals in Toledo, Lima, Monroe, Sycamore and Green Springs, delivering safely to customer locations with a safety‑first culture and dedicated dispatch support.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL required.
• Hazmat endorsement required prior to hire.
• Tanker endorsement required prior to hire; X endorsement encouraged.
• Minimum 1 year of verifiable CDL-A driving experience.
• Safe driving record with no recent major safety violations or preventable accidents.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Ability to safely handle hoses, valves, pumping equipment, and PPE.
• Commitment to professionalism, customer service and safety.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport propane and butane (UN1075).
• Operate throughout Ohio and surrounding regional service areas.
• Load product from regional terminals including Toledo, Lima, Monroe, Sycamore, Green Springs.
• Deliver safely to customer locations throughout the regional service area.
• Safely load and unload tanker trailers using hoses and pumping equipment.
• Perform required pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
• Maintain electronic logs (ELDs) and Hours of Service records.
• Follow all DOT, FMCSA, and DHT safety requirements.
• Maintain tanker equipment, valves, hoses, placards, and PPE.
• Communicate professionally with customers and dispatch.

What You'll Do

• Safely transport propane and butane (UN1075)
• Operate throughout Ohio and surrounding regional service areas
• Load product from regional terminals including:
  • Toledo, OH
  • Lima, OH
  • Monroe, OH
  • Sycamore, OH
  • Green Springs, OH
• Deliver safely to customer locations throughout the regional service area
• Safely load and unload tanker trailers using hoses and pumping equipment
• Perform required pre-trip and post-trip inspections
• Maintain electronic logs (ELDs) and Hours of Service records
• Follow all DOT, FMCSA, and DHT safety requirements
• Maintain tanker equipment, valves, hoses, placards, and required PPE

Schedule

• Regional operation serving the Lima, Ohio area and surrounding markets
• Typical schedule: 5 days out / 2 days home
• One weekend day availability required

Minimum Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL
• Hazmat (H) endorsement required prior to hire
• Tanker (N) endorsement required prior to hire
• Drivers holding the combined X endorsement are encouraged to apply
• Minimum 1 year of verifiable CDL-A driving experience
• Safe driving record with no recent major safety violations or preventable accidents
• Ability to safely work outdoors in varying weather conditions, including sub-freezing temperatures
• Ability to safely handle hoses, valves, pumping equipment, and required PPE, including cold-weather protective gear and face shields
• Commitment to professionalism, customer service, and safety

Truck & Equipment Requirements

• DOT-compliant tractor
• Tractor must pass DHT equipment inspection before sign-on
• Electronic Logging Device (ELD) required
• Hydrapak/wet kit required to power trailer hydraulic offloading equipment
• Current registration and insurance
• Ability to maintain DOT compliance standards at all times
