DHT Group is seeking CDL-A Hazmat Tanker Owner Operators to join our Propane & Butane division in the Fort Wayne, Indiana market. Your truck is your business as we provide strong freight opportunities, an established customer base, and experienced dispatch support.

Expect 70% of linehaul revenue plus 100% fuel surcharge pass-through with weekly settlements. Typical regional runs include Indiana, Ohio, Michigan, Illinois, and surrounding areas.

Qualifications

• Hazmat and tanker endorsements required.
• CDL-A license with hazmat/tanker endorsements.
• At least 1 year of verifiable CDL-A driving experience.

Responsibilities

What You'll Do

• Safely transport propane and butane (UN1075)
• Operate throughout Indiana, Ohio, Michigan, Illinois, and surrounding regional service areas
• Load from propane supply terminals throughout the Midwest
• Deliver safely to commercial, agricultural, and industrial customers
• Safely operate pumps, hoses, valves, and tanker equipment
• Complete required inspections and maintain DOT compliance
• Maintain ELDs and Hours of Service records
• Represent DHT professionally with customers and the public

Schedule

• Regional operation serving the Fort Wayne, Indiana area and surrounding markets
• Typical schedule: 5 days out / 2 days home
• One weekend day availability required

Minimum Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL
• Hazmat (H) endorsement required
• Tanker (N) endorsement required
• Drivers holding the combined X endorsement are encouraged to apply
• Minimum 1 year of verifiable CDL-A driving experience
• Safe driving record with no recent major safety violations or preventable accidents
• Ability to safely work outdoors in all weather conditions
• Ability to safely handle hoses, valves, pumping equipment, and required PPE
• Commitment to professionalism, customer service, and safety

Equipment Requirements

• DOT-compliant tractor
• Must pass DHT equipment inspection before sign-on
• Electronic Logging Device (ELD) required
• Hydrapak/wet kit required to power trailer hydraulic offloading equipment
• Current registration and insurance
• Ability to maintain DOT compliance standards at all times
