Job summary

Roadmaster Drivers School, a Werner Enterprises company, seeks a CDL instructor to mentor students in safety skills and trucking best practices. You will demonstrate operations, supervise trainees, and deliver daily in-person instruction on pre-trip, basic control, and road driving.

Requirements include a CDL Class A license with minimal violations and 3+ years driving experience, DOT compliance, and strong communication.

Qualifications

• Valid CDL Class A license with no more than two moving violations in 12 months or three in 24 months
• Minimum 3 years over-the-road or local commercial driving experience or licensure prerequisites for instructor
• Must pass DOT physical, DOT drug test and hair follicle test, and consent to random/suspicion-based testing

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate driving operations for students on a regular basis
• Oversee safe operation and use of equipment with students
• Supervise trainees and complete attendance forms and training records
• Provide in-person daily instruction in Pre-Trip, Basic Control Skills and Road Driving
