Job summary

Jernigan Oil Company, Inc. seeks a Fuel Transport Driver to safely transport and deliver products in compliance with DOT regulations. The role reports to the Dispatcher and requires loading/unloading, securing loads, and completing paperwork in a timely, professional manner.

Qualified candidates hold a CDL Class A with Hazmat, Tanker, and Air Brake endorsements, and possess strong safety and compliance awareness. Full-time position based in Norfolk, VA with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid CDL Class A with Hazmat, Tanker, and Air Brake endorsements.
• Knowledge of DOT and Motor Carrier Safety Regulations.
• Must meet medical/safety standards per DOT and company policies.
• Must pass drug & alcohol screening (pre-employment and ongoing).
• Able to load, unload, and secure products using company methods.
• Must be 21 years of age and have at least 1 year of experience (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Transport and deliver products safely, efficiently, and in compliance with laws.
• Secure hoses and essential tools using approved securing methods.
• Load and unload trailers, performing lifting tasks as needed.
• Complete required paperwork and maintain regulatory records.
• Ensure operations comply with state and federal laws and company policies.
• Represent the company professionally to customers and the public.
