CDL Class A Flat Bed Driver - County Materials (Transportation)

We are seeking a Flat Bed Driver for our customer, County Materials, in Milwaukee, WI.

About the position:
  • Competitive hourly pay.
  • Majority of freight hauled is for our company, minimal wait time.
  • Home every night.
  • Training in flatbed procedures and oversized loads available.
Job Duties:
  • Demonstrate customer service while interfacing with clients.
  • Perform pre-trip, post-trip, and in-route inspections on all equipment, including securement devices.
  • Properly secure load prior to transport following DOT regulations.
  • Operate tractor-trailer combinations.
  • Transport freight while ensuring compliance with DOT regulations.
  • Perform duties consistent with all safety policies, including utilizing proper PPE.
  • Unload transported material utilizing approved methods.
  • Ensure cleanliness and good operating condition for assigned tractor.
  • Receive work assignments and report back on job completion.
  • Use consistent communication with dispatch.
  • Maintain customer relations by acting in a professional, courteous manner.
Work Environment:
  • Work in outdoor weather conditions.
  • Work near moving machinery and equipment.
  • Work alongside moving traffic on roads.
Physical Requirements:
  • Sitting.
  • Carrying / Lifting 10 - 40 Pounds.
  • Standing / Walking / Climbing.
  • Squatting / Crouching / Kneeling / Bending.
  • Pushing / Pulling / Reaching Above Shoulder.
Experience & Qualifications:
  • Must hold a valid Class A CDL prior to hire.
  • Minimum of 2 years Class A CDL driving experience required.
