Job summary

R-2 Contractors, Inc. in Arizona is hiring a CDL-A Driver to support construction operations across AZ or OT R. This is a local/OTR driving role with home time built into schedules, transporting heavy equipment and materials to project sites while complying with DOT rules.

You will operate a range of CDL-class vehicles, inspect and document trips, and collaborate with field crews to keep projects on track. Valid Class A CDL and medical card required; pre-employment screening applies.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL and Medical card.
• Experience hauling and securing heavy construction equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and safety commitment.
• Experience operating forklifts, pallet jacks, or similar equipment preferred.
• Able to work independently and communicate with project teams.
• Must pass pre-employment drug screening and background check.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport heavy construction equipment and materials to and from Arizona job sites.
• Operate CDL-class vehicles, including lowboy trailers, dump trucks, flatbeds, and other heavy-haul equipment.

Position: CDL- A Local or OTR Driver (AZ)

R2 Contractors is seeking a dependable and experienced CDL- A Driver to support construction operations throughout AZ or OTR. This is a driving position, allowing drivers to be home regularly while playing a key role in transporting heavy equipment and materials to project sites across the region. With occasional OTR trips.

What You'll Do

• Safely transport heavy construction equipment and materials to and from Arizona job sites.
• Operate a variety of CDL-class vehicles, including lowboy trailers, dump trucks, flatbeds, and other heavy-haul equipment.
• Assist field crews as needed at project locations.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure equipment safety and compliance.
• Load, secure, and transport equipment in accordance with DOT regulations.
• Follow all company policies, safety procedures, and transportation requirements.
• Maintain accurate paperwork, inspection reports, and delivery documentation.

Compensation & Benefits

• $22-$32 per hour, DOE.

Schedule

• Full-time
• Monday -Friday
• Occasional schedule flexibility based on project demands.
• What types of tractors do we operate? We have 3-4 axle Kenworth T880s and 3 Peterbilt 579s for our sleeper trucks. We run dump trucks, water trucks, a transfer, a tub, and 2 belly dumps. We also run some step deck and lowboy as needed locally.
• What trailer configurations and equipment do our drivers typically haul? We run step decks and lowboys up to 10 axles.
