Job summary

Spee Dee Delivery Service, Inc. is seeking a CDL Class A Driver to operate tractor‑trailer and straight trucks for palletized freight delivery and pickups. The route will shift to the St. Louis, MO branch in September 2026, with overtime expectations and a $23.00‑$27.00 hourly rate.

Workweek is Monday–Friday with overtime paid after 40 hours. A sign-on bonus of $10,000 is offered for CDL Class‑A drivers, and benefits include health and other insurance options.

Qualifications

The corporate headquarters and main sort facility is located in St. Cloud, MN. We currently employ over 1,800 employees company wide and have expanded throughout the Midwest.

Job Summary

The CDL Class A Driver (LTL) is responsible for driving a tractor‑trailer combination or straight truck to deliver and pick up palletized freight and/or large shipments.

Route will move to the St. Louis, MO branch in September, 2026.

Hours and Wages

• Monday‑Friday, 7:30 AM start to completion of route
• 10‑15 hours of overtime expected each week
• Paid overtime at time and a half after 40 hours per week
• $23.00‑$27.00 per hour, based on experience

Duties & Responsibilities

• Conduct a pre‑trip inspection before driving to ensure that mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment are in good working order
• Turn in pre‑trip form and complete mileage and maintenance forms
• Deliver palletized freight in a timely manner to customers and pick up freight from shippers
• Verify all load‑related documentation for completeness and accuracy
• Collect payment for shipments as necessary and return bill of ladings to the office for billing purposes
• Maintain all required certifications required by DOT and company safety policies
• Wash the exterior of tractor and equipment daily
• Assist other drivers with loading, delivery, or pick up as needed

Skills & Abilities

• Ability to operate a manual transmission
• Must possess or have the ability to obtain a doubles/triples endorsement
• Must possess good customer service and organizational skills
• Must be able to work independently and make quick decisions

Education & Experience

• At least 21 years of age
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Hold a valid CDL Class A driver's license with a good driving record that meets company standards

Physical Requirements

• Ability to pass a DOT physical
• Ability to lift 50 pounds regularly and up to 100 pounds occasionally
• Full range of motion with no limits on grasping, standing, squatting, stair climbing, walking, etc.
• Ability to work with all types of freight including, but not limited to, hazardous material, perishable food and alcohol, firearms, ammunition, and live animals
