Job summary

DSG Supply in Ames, IA is hiring a CDL Class A Delivery Driver for a full-time, hourly role. Typical hours are 7 am–4 pm, Monday to Friday, with variations based on business needs.

Primary duties include delivering products to customers and jobsites, loading/unloading, and ensuring safe transport. The role also involves warehouse support, including pulling and packing orders, operating a forklift, and using RF scanners.

Qualifications

• Valid CDL Class A license with current medical card.
• 1–3 years of warehouse/delivery experience.
• Attention to detail.
• Ability to plan, prioritize, and organize work under pressure.
• Safety training on material handling and forklift driving.
• Strong interpersonal, customer service, and communication skills.
• Physical ability to lift 70–325 lbs with assistance.
• Prior computer knowledge and RF scanner usage.

Responsibilities

• Load delivery truck safely per policy.
• Coordinate with warehouse team on loading.
• Inspect vehicle per policy and DOT standards.
• Communicate delivery dates and times to customers.
• Drive to customer locations within ~150 miles of the branch.
• Unload materials at customer sites per instructions.
• Maintain compliance with DOT/FMCSA and OSHA regulations.
• Follow DSG safety policies and drive program.
• Assist in warehouse tasks when not delivering (pulling orders, packing, labeling, operating forklift, using RF scanner).
