Qualifications

• 21 years of age or older with a valid state-issued driver’s license.
• Clean driving record with no serious violations in the past three years; meet Driver Safety Evaluation criteria.
• Physical ability to lift and carry objects up to 50 pounds; secure vehicles during transport.
• Able to climb, bend, and kneel to access and secure vehicles on multi-level transport decks.
• Must meet DOT & FMCSA qualification requirements.
• Valid Class A CDL issued by the state and 2+ years of CDL/CMV driving experience.

Responsibilities

• Safety first — conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections in compliance with DOT and CarMax standards.
• Stay compliant — maintain accurate and compliant DOT logs and documentation.
• Transport with care — load, secure, transport, and unload CarMax vehicles safely and efficiently.
• Be accountable — move vehicles between CarMax locations and approved vendors using a company-provided truck.
• Deliver with purpose — deliver vehicles accurately and on time to support inventory flow and schedules.
• Represent CarMax professionally – interact with vendors, store associates, and the public in a way that reflects our values.
