Job summary

Wesco Turf, Inc. in Florida seeks an experienced delivery driver to transport and retrieve Wesco Turf products using tractor-trailer combinations, with flat-bed or box trailers. A Class A Florida license and clean driving record are required.

You will load, unload, and secure all loads, maintain vehicle condition, and support routing and training for new drivers. Excellent customer relations are essential.

• Must possess a Class A Florida driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Drivers must have excellent customer relations skills.
• Forklift training and certification is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and pickup Wesco Turf products within the territory with tractor‑trailer units.
• Load and unload truck and secure loads.
• Inspect vehicle daily and keep it clean and professional.
• Assist in routing, training, and coordinating new delivery associates.
• Handle driver logs, certificates, signatures, and related paperwork.

What Will You Do?

The Driver is responsible for delivering and picking up Wesco Turf products within the specified territory, driving tractor‑trailer combinations, with either flat‑bed trailers or box trailers.

Responsibilities

• Transport equipment to and from customers and other locations without damage.
• Load and unload truck.
• Ensure all equipment on flatbed is secured with straps to prevent damage and injury.
• Secure all loads on the truck properly.
• Achieve daily requirements without accidents, citations, or damage to personal property.
• Select routes to travel efficiently to maximize customer satisfaction and minimize transit time.
• Use maps and have knowledge of the service area.
• Maintain good attendance, punctuality, and flexible daily work hours.
• Demonstrate teamwork and cooperation with other departments and employees.
• Assist in training and routing of new delivery associates.
• Handle paperwork, including driver logs, delivery certificates, obtaining customer signatures and any associated monetary collections.
• Perform daily operational checks of the vehicle, reporting deficiencies immediately.
• Keep vehicle clean and professional in appearance.
• Assist in various warehouse duties such as pulling, staging, loading, unloading, put‑away, and general warehouse and office maintenance.
