Job summary

Maersk is seeking a CDL Class A Driver to safely transport freight to customers and centers. You will perform inspections, secure cargo, and maintain accurate records while delivering professional service. Shifts run Tue–Sat 5:00pm or Sun–Thu 4:00pm, with an anticipated starting pay of $27.00 per hour.

The role requires valid CDL Class A, DOT medical certification, and strong safety and customer-service skills. OT may be required, and you will work with dispatch to manage routes and schedules.

Qualifications

• Valid CDL Class A license and acceptable driving record.
• Current DOT medical certification.
• Experience with LTL/City driving preferred.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations and hours-of-service requirements.
• Ability to operate tractor-trailers and CMVs safely.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate Class A CMVs, including tractor-trailers.
• Transport and deliver freight per routes and schedules.
• Perform pre-, en route-, and post-trip inspections.
• Load, secure, inspect, and protect cargo.
• Follow DOT regulations and company policies.
• Maintain logs and delivery records.
• Communicate with dispatch about routes, delays, deliveries, and vehicle issues.
• Safely maneuver at loading docks, yards, and customer sites.
• Report accidents, safety issues, and regulatory concerns.
• Maintain a clean, professional vehicle and work area.
• Provide courteous service to customers and partners.
• Assist with loading and unloading freight when required.
