Job summary

Onward Freight is seeking an experienced CDL Class A Driver to join our regional team. You will operate Conestoga and flatbed equipment, transport steel tubing and other materials, and ensure loads are secured and delivered safely.

Responsibilities include preparing trip sheets, obtaining bills of lading, communicating with dispatch, complying with DOT rules, and maintaining a clean, professional vehicle and appearance.

Qualifications

• CDL Class A license required.
• Experience handling steel or similar materials preferred.
• Knowledge of load securement procedures and safety standards.
• Ability to complete trip sheets and required delivery documentation.
• Dependable and punctual with strong attendance.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate CDL Class A equipment on regional routes.
• Transport steel tubing and other materials to customers.
• Operate Conestoga and flatbed trailers.
• Assist with loading and unloading procedures as required.
• Ensure all loads are properly secured and strapped according to load securement requirements.
• Complete required trip sheets and delivery documentation.
• Obtain signed bills of lading upon delivery.
• Use driver communication and routing applications.
• Follow all DOT regulations, safety procedures and company policies.
• Communicate with customers and dispatch regarding deliveries.
• Maintain a clean and professional vehicle and appearance.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• ValidCDL Class A license.

• Previousflatbed, Conestoga or steel-hauling experience preferred.
  

Compensation: $30.00 per hour
