JOB DETAILS

Base pay rate starts at $22.50 per hour
Shift: Full-time, Day Shift

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Driver will be expected to transport and deliver building materials to our customers, distribution centers, and/or construction job sites using a tractor-trailer. This position requires a wide range of skills from practicing safe driving and delivery to providing excellent customer service.

1. Perform material handling activities, including loading and unloading material on a trailer by hand, forklift, or overhead crane.
2. Reconcile material requirements with shipping lists to ensure correct delivery and obtain customer signatures to verify receipt.
3. Perform daily pre- and post-trip inspections of tractor and trailer; address any deficiencies to ensure vehicle safety.
4. Operate onboard recording systems and adhere to company policies, D.O.T. regulations, and all traffic laws.
5. Deliver products during the day using a piggy-back trailer-mounted forklift (training available) at customer sites.
6. Provide courteous, prompt, and professional customer service at all times.
7. Frequently stand, lift, bend, and move heavy products (60+ pounds).
8. Work in varying temperatures and weather conditions.
9. Inspect and clean the vehicle to ensure proper functioning, safety, and appearance.
10. Assist with inventory management, including cycle counts.
11. Maintain cleanliness and safety in the work environment.
12. Perform all duties safely and efficiently.
13. Deliver customer-focused activities and services.

Qualifications

1. Must be at least 21 years old.
2. High School diploma or GED required.
3. Class A CDL required.
4. At least 2 years of tractor-trailer flatbed driving experience, including winter driving.
5. Ability to drive interstate as needed.
6. Pass DOT pre-employment drug screen and physical.
7. Must be insurable under company insurance.
8. Strong customer service skills.
9. Combination of education and experience may qualify.
