Job summary

A leading logistics company in Houston is seeking a Class A CDL truck driver who is proficient in GPS and possess excellent driving skills. The driver will be responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of materials, adherence to safety protocols, and maintaining vehicle cleanliness. Candidates must have a valid CDL and at least one year of driving experience with manual transmission trucks.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1+ years as a Class A CDL truck driver.
• Experience with 10-speed manual transmission trucks.
• Experience driving a 24 ft stake bed truck with airbrakes.

Responsibilities

• Perform equipment and material deliveries and installations safely.
• Conduct daily safety inspections and vehicle maintenance reporting.
• Ensure proper loading, securing, and unloading of materials.

Job description

• Perform equipment and material deliveries, retrievals and installs in an organized, professional, proficient, and safe manner
• Adhere to all DOT and company safety protocol
• Perform daily safety inspections and maintain the cleanliness of the company vehicle
• Promptly report all vehicle maintenance issues to repair services
• Complete all necessary documentation which could include but not be limited to: ELD’s, vehicle inspection reports, job safety analysis, delivery tickets, etc.
• Load, secure and unload materials for delivery and pick-up
• Monitor and ensure vehicles are loaded and secured properly and accurately
• Utilize proper lifting and rigging standards and practices as specified by company policies and procedures

Qualifications

• Must have a minimum of 1+ years of experience as a Class A CDL truck driver
• Must possess a valid Class A - Commercial Driver’s License (CDL)
• Proficient in the use of global positioning systems (GPS)
• Must be able to utilize maps, chart driving routes, and GPS (global positioning systems)
• Basic knowledge of rigging and lifting is preferred
• Must have experience with 10 speed manual transmission trucks
• Must have experience driving a 24 ft stake bed truck with airbrakes
