CDL CLASS A DRIVER (INTERMODAL TRANSPORTATION)

Position Overview

DIHO Consulting USA LLC is seeking experienced CDL Class A Drivers for an established transportation and logistics company in the Houston area. This position supports local and regional intermodal operations, including container transportation to and from ports, rail facilities, warehouses, and customer locations.

The ideal candidate will have experience operating within an intermodal environment, maintaining a strong safety record, and ensuring efficient freight movement while meeting customer and operational requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Transport containers safely and efficiently between port terminals, rail yards, warehouses, and customer locations.
• Perform local and regional intermodal deliveries and pickups throughout the Houston area and surrounding markets.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure equipment is operating safely and in compliance with regulations.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, inspections, and transportation activities.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch personnel regarding load status, route changes, delays, and operational updates.
• Ensure compliance with DOT regulations, company safety policies, and applicable transportation laws.
• Properly secure cargo and verify documentation before transport.
• Assist in maintaining operational efficiency through timely pickups, deliveries, and equipment management.
• Support customer service objectives through professional interactions at terminals, customer facilities, and delivery locations.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Valid CDL Class A License required.
• TWIC Card required or ability to obtain one.
• Clean driving record and satisfactory motor vehicle history.
• Previous intermodal, container hauling, drayage, port, or regional transportation experience preferred.
• Familiarity with Port Houston operations, terminal procedures, and container transportation is a plus.
• Ability to operate safely in a fast-paced transportation environment.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Must meet all applicable DOT and company driving qualifications.
