Position Overview

C&S Wholesale Grocers aims to create the safest, most efficient, and customer-focused fleet in the country. As a Professional Driver, you will start your career with training from a Professional Driver Trainer (PDT), who will provide coaching on the C&S Way, including company and regulatory requirements. After completing the training program, you will deliver products and services, ensuring safety and timeliness in accordance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.

Job Description

• Operate a Commercial Motor Vehicle (semi-truck, eighteen-wheeler, box truck, etc.) using skills acquired through training and experience to transport and deliver products safely.
• Load and unload (ambient or temperature-sensitive) products for 3-10 stops per day.
• Inspect, document, and ensure equipment is operational, complying with all regulatory and company standards.
• Perform equipment inspections as required by regulations.
• Other duties as assigned.

Environment

• Store: Freezer (-20F to 0F)
• Warehouse: Perishable (28F to 60F)
• Warehouse: Grocery (50F to 90F)

Skills

• DOT Certified, Class A Commercial Driver's License
• Must be at least 21 years old
• Valid Department of Transportation Physical Exam
• Must meet all DOT qualification requirements
• Enjoy working with people; customer-service focused
• Comply with FMCSR/DOT/Company policies

Experience

• Minimum 1 year of recent tractor-trailer experience
• Experience supporting a large enterprise storage environment
• Participation or completion of a company-approved CDL truck driving school
