Job summary

Cliff Berry, Inc. seeks an experienced CDL Class A Tanker Driver for Cape Canaveral operations. You will transport liquid bulk materials safely, assist in loading/unloading, and support environmental and emergency response activities across Central Florida.

Applicants should have at least two years of tanker experience, Hazmat and Tanker endorsements, a TWIC card, and a clean driving record. Port Canaveral experience is preferred. Full benefits and on-call coverage are provided.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of verifiable tanker, liquid bulk, petroleum hauling, or vacuum truck experience.
• Hazmat (H) and Tanker (N) endorsements required.
• TWIC Card required.
• Experience operating within Port Canaveral or other port facilities is strongly preferred.
• Ability to pass a DOT physical and pre-employment screenings.
• Lifting/maneuvering hoses and equipment up to 100 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate CDL Class A tanker trailers, vacuum trucks, and other vehicles transporting petroleum products, waste oil, and other liquids.
• Perform loading, unloading, hose connections, pump transfers, and product offloading at client sites and ports.
• Complete driver logs, bills of lading, manifests, and environmental documentation accurately.
• Maintain DOT and company safety compliance and participate in on-call rotations for emergency response.
• Provide professional customer service while representing Cliff Berry, Inc. at customer locations.
• Carry out other duties as assigned.

CDL Class A Tanker Driver – Port Operations (Cape Canaveral)

Cliff Berry, Inc. (CBI), a recognized leader in environmental services, industrial cleaning, emergency response, and petroleum waste management, is seeking experienced CDL Class A Tanker Drivers to join our Cape Canaveral team. This position is ideal for safety-focused professionals with experience operating tanker equipment in port and industrial environments. Candidates with experience working at Port Canaveral or similar maritime facilities are strongly encouraged to apply.

As a member of the CBI team, you will safely transport petroleum products, waste oil, contaminated liquids, and other bulk materials while supporting environmental and emergency response operations throughout Central Florida.

Position Summary

The CDL Class A Tanker Driver is responsible for the safe, efficient, and compliant transportation of liquid bulk materials using tanker trailers, vacuum trucks, and other specialized equipment. This position requires a commitment to safety, regulatory compliance, customer service, and operational excellence. Drivers must be available to participate in an on-call rotation to support emergency response and customer service needs.

Core Responsibilities

• Safely operate CDL Class A tanker trailers, vacuum trucks, and other commercial vehicles transporting petroleum products, waste oil, wastewater, and other free-flowing liquids.
• Perform loading, unloading, hose connections, pump transfers, and product offloading at customer sites, industrial facilities, and Port Canaveral.
• Conduct thorough pre-trip, post-trip, and equipment inspections to ensure DOT compliance and safe vehicle operation.
• Complete driver logs, bills of lading, manifests, inspection reports, and environmental documentation accurately and timely.
• Maintain compliance with all DOT, FMCSA, OSHA, EPA, Port Authority, and Company safety regulations.
• Support emergency spill response, environmental remediation, and industrial service projects as assigned.
• Provide professional customer service while representing Cliff Berry, Inc. at customer locations.
• Participate in an on-call rotation for emergency response and after-hours customer service needs.
• Maintain a clean driving record and operate all equipment safely and professionally.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• Valid CDL Class A License.
• Hazmat (H) and Tanker (N) endorsements required.
• Valid TWIC Card required.
• Minimum two (2) years of verifiable tanker, liquid bulk, petroleum hauling, or vacuum truck experience.
• Experience operating within Port Canaveral or other port facilities is strongly preferred.
• Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles (no automatic transmission restriction).
• Acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) and ability to meet Company driving standards.
• Ability to pass a DOT physical, pre-employment drug and alcohol screening, criminal background investigation, and all other pre-employment requirements.
• Ability to lift, pull, and maneuver hoses, fittings, and equipment weighing up to 100 pounds.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and around industrial environments.

Preferred Qualifications

• Petroleum fuel delivery, used oil collection, or hazardous waste transportation experience.
• Vacuum truck, hydro-excavation, or pump transfer experience.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
