CDL drivers complete routes between our trucking facilities, warehouses and customer locations across New England, with frequent runs to the Boston area; this position emphasizes steady, local driving with no overnight travel. Expect a reliable Monday–Friday schedule with a 4:30–5:00 AM start, primary work in south-central Maine, and routes that keep you close to home.

Qualifications

• Valid CDL-A license required and safe driving record.
• Must pass pre-employment drug screening and a DOT physical.
• 2+ years of incident-free commercial driving preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate fleet vehicles (flatbeds and vans) as assigned.
• Deliver and backhaul with 1–2 stops per day on average.
• Follow routes and schedules for timely operations.
• Maintain driving and delivery logs accurately.
• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections per DOT regulations.
• Communicate with dispatch about routes, delays or issues.
• Adhere to laws and safety standards while driving.
• Support team with additional relevant duties.

Position Overview

Supporting a local, family-owned transportation company, CDL Drivers complete routes between our trucking facilities, warehouses, and customer locations primarily throughout New England, with frequent runs to the Boston area. This role is ideal for candidates seeking steady, local driving work without overnight travel.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate vehicles of the fleet as assigned, including flatbeds and vans
• Perform deliveries and back hauls (typically 1-2 stops per day)
• Follow routes and delivery schedules to ensure timely and efficient operations
• Maintain accurate driving and delivery logs
• Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections in compliance with DOT regulations, maintaining the cleanliness and safety of the vehicle and reporting any concerns or safety issues promptly
• Communicate effectively with dispatch and operations teams regarding routes, delays, or issues
• Adhere to all federal, state, and local laws and regulations while driving the vehicle
• Support the team and perform additional relevant duties as needed

What We’re Looking For

• Valid driver’s license and Class A Commercial Driver’s License (required)
• Previous CDL-A driving experience (required)
• Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening and a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination (required)
• 2+ years of incident-free commercial driving experience (preferred)
• Effective communication skills
• Ability to follow routes, directions, and schedules
• Reliability; able to report to work on time daily and work independently
