A leading rebar supply company is looking for a truck driver based in Mechanicsville, Virginia. The role involves delivering rebar to job sites and ensuring compliance with all DOT regulations. The ideal candidate should have commercial driving experience, a clean driving record, and the ability to drive a manual truck. Qualifications

• No serious tickets or accidents in the last 5 years.
• No DWI/DUI in the last 10 years.
• 2+ years of commercial driving experience preferred.
• Must be able to drive a manual truck.

Responsibilities

• Complete a daily truck log and submit reports of mileage covered.
• Deliver rebar to job sites and other company locations as needed.
• Comply with all DOT and in-house regulations for a driver.
• Deliver rebar to job sites, customers, and to other company locations as needed
• Comply with all DOT and in-house regulations and rules for a driver
• Verify delivered goods during unloading process to verify shortages and proper unloading practices
• Present all delivery paperwork and collect signatures as requested
• Check that the load is properly and safely placed in the vehicle before transit
• Inform Shop Manager of all claims of shortages or errors
• Adhere to JMS Rebar safety programs and standards
• Performs and/or assist on other duties as assigned

• Observe and report equipment or mechanical failures immediately
• Manage routes and routines so they proceed in the most efficient way possible
• Deliver rebar to job sites, customers, and to other company locations as needed
• Comply with all DOT and in-house regulations and rules for a driver
• Will verify delivered goods during unloading process to verify shortages and proper unloading practices
• Present all delivery paperwork and collect signatures as requested
• Check that the load is properly and safe placed in the vehicle before transit
• Inform to Shop Manager of all claims of shortages or errors
• Must adhere to JMS Rebar safety programs and standards
• Performs and/or assist on other duties as assigned

Experience & Skill Requirements:

• No serious tickets or accidents in last 5 years
• No DWI/DUI in last 10 years
• 2+ years’ commercial driving experience preferred, but we can train the right candidate with class A CDL
• Must be able to drive a manual truck
• Must meet attendance standards

• Moderate noise level when at the office; high level when at the shop
