About the Role:

We are seeking a CDL Class A Delivery Driver to join our team at Metro Welding Supply Corporation in Ypsilanti, MI, to deliver medical gases in Ann Arbor and the surrounding areas. As a critical and valued member of our delivery team, you will play a vital role in ensuring our products reach our customers promptly and professionally. You must have a CDL A with no stick restrictions, a clean motor vehicle report, and a hazmat endorsement. This position entails considerable walking while conducting several deliveries at one or two locations per day and is an early am start time. Responsibilities:

• Deliver welding supplies and equipment to customers in a safe and efficient manner
• Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries and interact with customers in a professional manner
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safe operation
• Load and unload delivery trucks as needed

Requirements:

• Valid CDL Class A driver's license with a clean driving record and hazmat endorsement
• 1 year prior experience as a delivery driver, preferably in a commercial or industrial setting
• Ability to lift and move a minimum of 50lbs
• Early morning shift
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Knowledge of DOT regulations and safety standards
