Job summary

Meyer Logistics Inc. is seeking a CDL Class A Driver to transport aftermarket auto accessories from our distribution centers to Cross Docks using a Dry Van Tractor Trailer and forklift. Ventures include routes from Sinking Spring, PA to Carlisle, PA and Dover, NJ with home daily.

Pay ranges from $28.00 to $34.00 per hour based on experience, with a Sunday–Thursday schedule starting at 4:00pm EST. Benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K with company match, Paid Vacation, Paid Holidays, and

Qualifications

• One year of CDL experience driving a tractor trailer over 26,000 lbs.
• Valid Commercial Driver’s License with no restrictions.
• Knowledge of DOT Regulations and FMCSA rules.
• Meet all medical and safety standards required by DOT.
• Acceptable background investigation results.

Responsibilities

• Transport and deliver freight within company routes safely and efficiently.
• Hook/unhook trailers; secure freight; install/remove tire chains as required by weather.
• Load/unload using a forklift; operate forklift as needed.
• Complete paperwork and maintain records per state and federal laws.
• Ensure operations comply with state and federal regulations.
• Perform routine inspections and coordinate with company personnel for repairs.

CDL class A Driver duties include but are not limited to:

• Transport and deliver freight within the company to different locations/regions in a safe, efficient, timely and legal manner
• Hook and unhook trailers; secure freight; install and remove tire chains as required by weather
• Load and unload trailers using a forklift with occasional lifting, pulling, pushing and carrying freight
• Operate / Drive a forklift
• Complete all necessary paperwork and maintain records required under state and federal laws and regulations
• Ensure that all operations are following state and federal laws and regulations
• Perform routine inspection and preventative maintenance on assigned equipment and refer defects/repairs to Company personnelRepresent the Company and the trucking industry in a professional manner

Requirements For CDL Class A Driver

• One-year of CDL experience driving a tractor trailer over 26,000 lbs.
• Valid Commercial Driver’s License, No Restrictions.
• Knowledge of all applicable DOT Regulations and Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations.
• Meet all standards (medical, safety, etc.) required by the DOT and pass required drug/alcohol test.
• Acceptable background investigation results.
• Operate / Drive a forklift.
