Job description

Austin Bridge & Road is currently seeking a CDL Class A Distributor Driver. We excel at what we do and are looking for talented construction professionals who want to excel with us.

Responsibilities

1. Perform daily equipment maintenance and inspections
2. Operate equipment in a safe and efficient manner
3. Participate as a vital team member, contributing towards Austin's success
4. Attend daily safety meetings
5. Follow safety policies and procedures
6. Work hours adjusted to meet the project's needs, including days, nights, and weekends
7. Able to work in adverse weather conditions, hot or cold temperatures
8. Other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements

1. At least 12 months of relevant driving experience in the construction industry
2. Strong commitment to jobsite safety
3. Thorough operational knowledge and skills of trucks and related equipment, including but not limited to: End dump, Belly dump, Tandem, Flow boy, or Super dump experience
4. Experience with off-highway driving in construction sites
5. Ability to pass DOT pre-employment drug screening, criminal background check, and TXDOT physical
6. Strict adherence to safety requirements and procedures outlined in the Employee Handbook, as well as state and federal regulations
7. Current State-issued Class A or B driver's license
8. Knowledge of DOT rules and regulations
9. MVR record must meet company and DOT standards
10. Familiarity with securing heavy and/or oversized loads
11. Legally authorized to work in the United States; sponsorship not available for this position
