Job description

Job Title: CDL Class A or B Truck Driver / Equipment Operator

Spectrum Industrial Services, Inc., is currently seeking CDL operators to join our growing team in Montgomery, Alabama, and surrounding areas. Your responsibilities will include the safe operation of tractors and associated trailers, operation of vacuum tankers, bulk tankers, vans, and roll-off trailers, and the transportation of hazardous/non-hazardous waste from client sites to respective TSDF. Tanker endorsement required; HAZMAT endorsement a plus.

Essential Duties:
  1. Operate trucks and other heavy equipment for transportation of hazardous and non-hazardous material.
  2. Inspect vehicles and equipment before and after use; ensure proper maintenance and safety on the road.
  3. Secure loads and equipment according to regulations.
  4. Maintain accurate records, reports, and logs as required.
  5. Follow delivery schedules and adapt to unforeseen delays or changes.
  6. Communicate with dispatchers, supervisors, and managers regarding job sites, schedules, and material needs.
  7. Interact with customers in a professional and courteous manner.
  8. Maintain a clean work area and contribute to a positive and safe work environment.
Qualifications:
  1. High school diploma or equivalent.
  2. Valid CDL license with a clean driving record.
  3. 3+ years of experience in driving heavy trucks and operating equipment.
  4. Knowledge of DOT regulations, safety standards, and regulations.
  5. Ability to follow instructions, work independently, and be self-sufficient.
  6. Good communication skills.
  7. Strong work ethic and reliability.
  8. Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
  9. Ability to lift heavy materials and equipment when necessary.
  10. Must pass drug test and background check.
