Job summary

Thompson Industrial, powered by Clean Harbors, is seeking a Class A or B CDL Operator to join our safety‑conscious team. The role involves hands‑on operation of vacuum and hydroblasting equipment across client sites, with strict adherence to safety policies and procedures.

You will transport equipment to job sites, perform pre‑ and post‑trip inspections, supervise a small crew when needed, and ensure DOT compliance while maintaining equipment in the field.

Qualifications

• On-the-job training and safety training.
• Understand English to follow safety instructions and respond in emergencies.
• Valid driver’s license CDL Class A or B and policy requirements when driving company or personal vehicle.
• Smartphone required for ELD and mobile access.
• TWIC may be required.
• Experience operating a vacuum truck and equipment for wet/dry vacuums.

Responsibilities

• Act as safety representative for company and customer policies, including operations, safety, equipment and emergency procedures.
• Operate vacuum and hydroblasting equipment.
• Operate Ultra High-Pressure pumps and other special equipment.
• Drive and energize pumping/jetting equipment and associated tools.
• Inspect surfaces for conformance to specifications.
• Perform routine maintenance on equipment in the field.
• Load/unload hoses and operate vacuum trucks.
• May direct a crew of vacuum technicians.
• Transport equipment and personnel to client locations.
• Complete pre- and post-trip inspections and driver logs to DOT standards.
• Provide field maintenance as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
