Job description

Join the Winning Team at Hotard Coaches, Inc.!

The motorcoach operator performs various tasks relating to the transport of passengers aboard motor coaches. Groups are traveling with us because they are going somewhere fun, or just traveling for pleasure. This can put the operator in a position to truly enjoy a driving job while also being part of a group.

A motorcoach operator will see and experience an entirely new world. The mindset of an operator always has to be focused on SAFETY. We carry all ages of people, senior citizens, middle age, and of course, children. Parents and family members trust that you are qualified and physically and mentally prepared for the job. Some of our clients are travel clubs, tour operators, colleges and universities, high schools, middle schools, businesses, families, and the government. We provide trips to casinos, ball games, theater events at the Civic Center, airport shuttles, local shuttling for conventions, ski trips, factory tours, and basically anything else you can think of.

Driving a coach is not a typical job. Hours are irregular and the days are typically long. Work schedules can be unpredictable, and operators must be flexible. Operators are required to perform pre trip inspections, fuel, tidy up, and perform post trip inspections in addition to driving the motor coach. We operate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. We take people anywhere, anytime, as long as there is a road to it.

Why should you consider Hotard? Because we offer a competitive salary, great benefits (Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, 401K) and paid vacation. Not to mention that we have a positive work environment with a Management Team that truly cares about our people.

Candidates must have a Commercial Driver’s License "A" or "B" with a "Passenger" Endorsement, no air brake or interstate restriction, and a good driving record. In addition, you will be a great fit with our team if you have a positive attitude, dependable and possess excellent communication skills.

Job Requirements:
  • CDL Class A or B with Passenger Endorsement and No airbrake restrictions
  • Must have two (2) or more years of CDL driving experience in the past 5 years
  • Motor Coach experience preferred
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Must be 25 years of age
  • Must be able to pass a skills road test in Motor Coach
  • Complete a pre-employment, computer-based assessment
  • Will be required to pass a pre-employment drug screen
  • Acceptable background check
  • Be able to lift 65 pounds or more on occasions
  • Clean driving record
  • Possess Exceptional Customer Service Skills
