Primary Objective

The primary objective of a CDL Driver is to safely and efficiently operate commercial vehicles to transport passengers, goods, or materials while complying with all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies. This role ensures timely and reliable transportation services, maintains vehicle safety and cleanliness, and delivers exceptional customer service. CDL Drivers are responsible for adhering to schedules, handling cargo or passenger needs professionally, and contributing to the overall success of the transportation operation.

• Job Title: CDL Shuttle Driver
• Department: Transportation Services
• Reports to: Account Manager
• Schedule: Full Time / Part-Time
• Status: Non-Exempt
• Compensation: $8.50 - $20.00 per hour (rates vary by market)

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Safe and Efficient Transportation: Operate shuttles or commercial vehicles safely, conduct inspections, report issues, and adjust routes as needed.
2. Passenger Assistance and Customer Service: Assist passengers, provide information, and address concerns professionally.
3. Vehicle Maintenance and Safety Compliance: Conduct daily inspections, maintain cleanliness, and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
4. Communication and Coordination: Communicate with dispatchers and team members, use work phones if required.
5. Customer Service and Teamwork: Handle situations professionally, support colleagues, and foster a positive environment.
6. Attendance and Professionalism: Maintain punctuality, wear uniform, and groom appropriately.
7. Additional Responsibilities: Support business needs, attend meetings, and maintain schedule flexibility.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• At least 25 years old
• Valid Class C CDL with Passenger (P) endorsement
• Minimum 1 year shuttle or transportation experience
• Clean driving record, pass MVR, background, DOT physical

Class C CDL Requirements

• Operate passenger vehicles with 16-23 passengers capacity
• Valid license with passenger endorsement, clean record for 3 years
• DOT medical certification, drug screening
• Minimum 2 years commercial driving experience
