Job summary

NJ TRANSIT in Egg Harbor Township is hiring a Full-Time Bus Driver/Operator. Starting pay is $26.00 per hour with a top rate of $36.06/hour, plus a comprehensive benefits package including medical, pension and 457 plans.

Training lasts up to two months, and the DOT safety rules apply throughout employment. Candidates must have at least three years driving experience, a good driving record, and must be able to obtain a NJ CDL permit prior to hire; endorsements for Passenger and Air Brake are

Qualifications

• Must be at least twenty-one years of age.
• Able to read, write and speak the English language.
• Pass interview, background check, and physical examination.
• Able to attend, without absence or lateness, up to two months of training.
• Candidates must have at least three (3) years driving experience.
• Possess a driving record in good standing with less than five (4) accumulated points.
• Able to obtain NJ CDL permit pre-hire.
• NJ CDL, with the ability to obtain Passenger and Air Brake endorsements (obtained while in training).
• NY or PA CDL, with Passenger and Air Brake endorsements prior to the time of an interview.
