Job summary

The Town of Vail is seeking full-time, year-round Bus Operators to provide safe, friendly service on designated routes. The role requires a CDL BP2 license and commitment to ADA accessibility, with on-the-job training and a strong customer-service mindset.

Starting pay is $31.00 per hour, with a $600 CDL BP2 sign-on bonus. Operators may be assigned to bus wash duties and must comply with all DOT and Colorado laws. Benefits and professional development opportunities are available.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid CDL BP2 license.
• Must pass CDL medical screening, drug testing, and licensing requirements.
• Experience with transit driving is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate a public transit bus while adhering to CDL requirements.
• Provide safe, timely, and friendly transportation on designated routes.
• Assist passengers, including those with disabilities, with boarding and exiting.
• Share schedule and route information; offer alternatives when needed.
• Maintain safe driving practices and report accidents or vandalism.
• Support bus maintenance by assisting with bus washing as needed.
• Represent the Town of Vail professionally to customers and colleagues.
