Job summary

MV Transportation is hiring Drivers to safely operate transit vehicles and deliver reliable public transportation. Responsibilities include on-time pickup, inspections, and maintaining vehicle safety and cleanliness.

Strong customer service and clear communication with dispatch are essential, with a plus for bilingual abilities. Qualified candidates have at least two years of driving experience, a valid CDL with Airbrake and Passenger Endorsements, and the Miami-Dade Chauffeur's Registration

Qualifications

• Minimum two years driving experience.
• Must pass pre-employment drug screen and DOT physical.
• CDL with Airbrake and Passenger Endorsements are required.
• Must have or obtain Miami-Dade Chauffeur's Registration with Jitney Endorsement.
• Excellent communication skills; bilingual ability is a plus.

Responsibilities

• On-time passenger pick-up and delivery.
• Conduct pre- and post-trip inspections to ensure safe operation.
• Maintain safe, clean vehicle condition at start and end of shift.
• Communicate with dispatch via two-way radio.
• Provide excellent customer service during boarding and inquiries.
• Apply defensive driving techniques to minimize risk.

Overview

MV Transportation is seeking Drivers who will be responsible for safely operating a transit vehicle. The primary objective of the Driver is providing safe, reliable, and efficient public transportation.

Responsibilities

• On-time passenger pick-up and delivery.
• Conducting pre and post trip inspections to ensure proper operating condition of vehicle and on-board equipment.
• Ensure safe and clean vehicle condition at the start and end of each shift.
• Communicating effectively with dispatch or central office via two-way radio.
• Providing excellent customer service including assistance in boarding and de-boarding, supplying information, and responding appropriately in the event of emergency.
• Employing all techniques of defensive driving to minimize risk.
• Maintaining a safe work area and a focus on safety to reduce the opportunity for injury to self or other employees.

Compensation

• $17.62 per hour starting rate
