Job summary

Nexair is seeking a full-time CDL driver to handle loading, unloading, and delivering cylinder gases and hard goods to area branches and plants. You will drive the truck, prepare receipts, and maintain logs per state and federal rules.

You will inspect equipment, secure cargo, and communicate with supervisors for delivery instructions. The role may involve layover trips regionally or out of state, with other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Verifiable commercial driver experience within the past four years.
• Cryogenic/Tanker experience preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

Responsibilities

• Handle loading, unloading, and delivering procedures for transporting cylinder gases and hard goods to area branches and plants.
• Drive truck to destination and prepare receipts for load picked up.
• Maintain truck log according to state and federal regulations.
• Maintain telephone or radio contact with supervisor for delivery instructions; load and unload truck.
• Inspect truck equipment and supplies such as tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil, and water.
• May perform emergency roadside repairs such as light bulb replacements.
• Secure cargo prior to and during transit.
• Work safely and adhere to all safety policies and company rules.
• Lay over trips both in-region and out of state.
• Other duties may be assigned.
