Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Familiar with electrical hazards.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks.
• Willing to join local union and pay dues.

Responsibilities

• Plans, assigns, directs, checks, and coordinates work.
• Obtains permissions for accessing properties to trim or remove trees.
• Maintains customer relations and public safety during crew work.
• Cooperates with customers, police, and fire departments when blocking streets or driveways.
• Safeguards employees and public from hazards in the work area.
• Sets up barriers, warning signs, and markers to protect workers and the public.
• Ensures quality and safety in trimming trees and brush near utility lines.
• Operates and services equipment (gasoline tools, saws, winches, buckets, chippers, sprayers).
• Operates bucket near energized lines to remove branches.
• Performs tree and bucket rescue.
• Uses hand tools (axes, pruners, etc.).
• Cleans up and disposes of debris.
• Trains new personnel.
