Job summary

Veolia North America, LLC is seeking experienced CDL B drivers to join our waste and hazardous materials operations. You will travel to customer locations, transport and dispose of waste, and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.

The role may require up to 3 overnight stays per week with paid hotel expenses and per diem. Qualified candidates have a high school diploma or GED and a valid Class B CDL; Hazmat/Tanker endorsements are preferred and can be obtained at company

Qualifications

• To qualify, you must have a high school diploma or GED and possess a valid Class B Commercial Driver’s License.
• By law, you must be at least 21 years of age.
• Preferred qualifications include Hazmat and Tanker endorsements; if not present, they may be obtained at company expense after hire.

Responsibilities

• Pick up and transport waste safely according to all federal, state, and local rules and regulations. Label containers and complete pre-printed manifests / work orders. Schedule shipments into or off site.
• Performs various regulatory compliance and safety tasks including pre-trip inspections of vehicle and reporting spills or accidents.
• Ongoing contact with customers and internal staff to deliver, promote, and collect waste containers.
• Process and prepare Universal Hazardous Waste manifests, bills of lading and LDRs for hazardous waste shipment per regulations.
• Provide services related to hazardous and non-hazardous waste removal from customer sites.
• Load and transport waste safely in tankers according to regulations.
• Perform other reasonably related tasks as assigned by management.
