Role Description

The CDL B Truck Driver role at Airgas is a full-time, on-site position based in Longview, TX. In this role, the driver safely loads, transports, and unloads cylinders and packaged gases to and from customer locations and company facilities, following all DOT, OSHA, and company safety standards. The driver completes delivery documentation, maintains accurate logs and records, and inspects the vehicle and equipment daily to ensure proper operation. The position involves interacting with customers in a professional manner, verifying orders, and helping resolve delivery-related issues. The driver may also assist with warehouse activities such as organizing inventory, preparing orders, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment.

Qualifications

• Valid CDL Class B license with a clean driving record and ability to meet all DOT requirements.
• Experience operating delivery trucks and safely handling cylinders or similar materials; knowledge of basic vehicle inspection and maintenance.
• Understanding of transportation safety practices, including DOT regulations, hazardous materials handling, and proper loading/unloading procedures.
• Strong customer service and communication skills, with the ability to represent Airgas professionally at customer sites.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting, moving, and securing cylinders and products as required.
• Reliable time management skills and the ability to follow routes, schedules, and delivery instructions accurately.
• High school diploma or equivalent; prior experience in gas distribution, industrial supply, or related fields is beneficial.
