Job description

We are seeking a dependable and safety-focused Roll-Off CDL Driver to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely delivering, exchanging, and picking up roll-off dumpsters at residential, commercial, and construction sites.

The ideal candidate is an experienced CDL driver who is comfortable operating roll-off trucks, navigating job sites and tight spaces, and providing professional and courteous service to customers. Reliability, attention to safety, and good communication are essential.

Responsibilities:

• Safely operate roll-off trucks in accordance with all federal, state, and local regulations.
• Deliver, exchange, and pick up roll-off dumpsters at residential, commercial, and construction locations.
• Safely load and unload containers using roll-off equipment and properly secure loads before transport.
• Evaluate delivery and pickup locations for safe access, overhead clearance, ground conditions, and proper container placement.
• Navigate driveways, job sites, narrow roads, and other challenging locations while protecting customer property and equipment.
• Perform required pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and promptly report maintenance or safety concerns.
• Follow DOT regulations, company safety procedures, and all applicable traffic laws.
• Verify that containers are safe for transport and identify overloaded, blocked, or improperly loaded containers.
• Maintain accurate daily paperwork, driver logs, delivery/pickup information, and other required documentation.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, contractors, and other team members regarding deliveries, pickups, access issues, or schedule changes.
• Maintain a professional and courteous attitude when interacting with customers.
• Keep assigned truck and equipment clean and in safe operating condition.
• Perform additional duties as needed to support daily operations.

Qualifications:

• Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) appropriate for the vehicle being operated.
• Clean and acceptable driving record.
• Previous roll-off, waste hauling, construction, or similar commercial driving experience preferred.
• Experience operating roll-off equipment is strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations and commercial vehicle safety requirements.
• Ability to safely maneuver and back large commercial vehicles in tight or challenging areas.
• Ability to perform physical tasks associated with the position, including climbing in and out of the truck, inspecting equipment, securing loads, and handling containers and related equipment.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently while following dispatch instructions.
• Must be safety-conscious and able to recognize potentially unsafe conditions before delivering or retrieving a container.
