Job summary

Richards Building Supply offers a CDL driver role in Decatur, IL, with a standard Mon–Fri schedule 7:00 AM–4:00 PM and OT potential on Saturdays. Responsibilities include safe delivery to job sites, unloading materials at customer sites, and handling warehouse tasks such as loading trucks and inventory checks.

Requirements include CDL Class B with Air Brake Endorsement (or Class A), 1–2 years driving experience, a DOT medical card, clean driving record, and ability to lift heavy objects.

Qualifications

• 1 year CDL B experience or 2 years CDL A experience.
• Heavy lifting experience preferred; training available for crane/knuckleboom.
• Current DOT medical card and clean driving record required.
• Must be 21+ and pass background check and DOT drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Safely deliver products to job sites and unload as requested.
• Receive materials in warehouse, load trucks, and process inventory.
• Operate manual transmissions when required.
• Maintain safety and accuracy during loading/unloading and deliveries.

Job description

Richards Building Supply Co. is currently searching for a CDL Class B Driver for our Decatur, IL Location. Can have either CDL Class A or CDL Class B License with Air Brake Endorsement.

Learn new trucks and industry equipment such as flatbed, moffett, knuckleboom, crane, and more!

Opportunity for overtime on Saturdays as needed.

Our delivery drivers are responsible for safely delivering products to the job site and physically unloading material per the customer's request as well as receiving materials in the warehouse, loading trucks, and processing inventory.

1 year CDL Class B delivery driving experience required or 2 years CDL Class A driving experience.

Requirements

• Must be able to continually lift 50-100 lbs. of material throughout the day. Some lifting over 100 lbs. will be required.
• Deliveries will include unloading shingles on one and two story homes
• Loading trucks with material scheduled for the day’s deliveries within compliance of securing and distributing weight limits according to DOT regulations.
• Unloading trucks and receiving merchandise at warehouse.
• Move materials and items from receiving to its designated area.

$24 - $26 an hour

Compensation will vary based on experience, skills, and job‑related qualifications.
