Job Schedule: Full Time, Night Shift, with occasional weekends. Schedule may change based on business needs.

Job Summary:

SCA seeks experienced CDL B drivers with air brake endorsement. Drivers operate Broom Sweeper Trucks or Dump Trucks/Follow Trucks, providing prompt service on scheduled routes, including new housing developments, city roads, and construction sites. The Broom Truck removes debris such as pavement, asphalt, concrete millings, mud, and construction materials. The Follow Truck tows an attenuator housing an arrow board to divert traffic around the Broom Sweeper.

Type of work (Municipalities/Construction/Maintenance):

• Prevailing Wage (New construction, funded with tax money): $36/hr; Federal Prevailing Wage: $43/hr plus benefits
• Union Initiation Fees/Dues: $350 initiation fee, $83/month dues (30 days after hire)
• Health Benefits for employee & dependents start after 6 weeks or 200 hours paid (Meritain - Cigna PPO)
• Union benefits include short-term disability & life insurance
• Dental (Guardian) & Optical (EyeMed) coverage
• Prescriptions via Optum
• Dependents/spouse coverage; spouse coverage is primary if employed elsewhere

Additional Benefits:

• Holidays: Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas
• Floating Personal Days: 5 (unused days are not paid out)
• Vacation: 1 week (after 1 year), 2 weeks (after 2 years), 3 weeks (after 8 years), 4 weeks (after 15 years)
• Unused vacation may be paid out at year-end
• Life insurance: $10,000 policy
• Flexible Spending Account: $650 annually for medical expenses, with a debit card

Job Responsibilities:

• Inspect Broom Sweeper / Dump Truck before and after shifts
• Review routes, ask questions if unclear
• Operate equipment safely
• Complete jobs efficiently while maintaining quality
• Report equipment issues or accidents within 8 hours
• Overnight travel may be required
• Perform other duties as assigned
