Job summary

Interstate Waste Services, Inc. in Plainfield, NJ is seeking CDL B side-load truck drivers for a 3am–1:30pm shift, Monday through Saturday.

The position pays $31.27 per hour and requires at least 1 year of CDL experience with a strong safety record. Drivers safely operate front, side, or rear-loading trucks, transporting waste or recyclables to disposal or transfer facilities and potentially making multiple trips per shift.

Qualifications

• 21 years of age and legally eligible to work in the United States.
• Valid Class A or B CDL.
• Airbrake endorsement.
• 1 year of CDL driving experience in the last 7 years.
• Great safety record and clean MVR.
• Experience with a Refuge Company is highly preferred.
• Working knowledge of DOT, OSHA and traffic regulations.
• Ability to read and understand English and maps.
• Willing to work nights, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate front, side or rear-loading trucks for pickup service.
• Transport material to disposal, transfer or recycling facilities and may make multiple trips.
• Deploy both manual and automatic trucks as needed.
• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections and comply with safety standards.
