Job summary

United Rentals is seeking a portable sanitation Route Service Driver in the Raleigh area to service portable restrooms and related sanitation equipment. The role requires a Class B CDL with a safe driving record and DOT-regulated driving experience, with a focus on safety and customer service.

The driver will complete daily routes, perform vehicle inspections, load/unload units, and maintain professional customer relations while adhering to safety guidelines. Some weekend work may be required.

Qualifications

• Valid Class B CDL with a safe driving record.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 2 years DOT-regulated commercial driving experience.
• Ability to lift up to 45 lbs and mount/dismount trucks.
• Ability to work day or night, with some weekend work as needed.
• Strong customer service and verbal/written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Repair portable restroom units onsite as necessary.
• Provide onsite moves of equipment and arrange delivery/pickup as requested.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and maintain truck logs.
• Load and unload units and fuel vehicles as required.
• Frequent customer interaction and recommendations for additional services.
• Maintain clean and professional appearance of vehicles and equipment.
• Follow all safety guidelines and procedures.
• Drop off and pick up equipment for customers.
• Other duties as assigned.
