Job summary

Safety-Kleen in Independence, MO is seeking a Sales and Service Route Driver. This role will train to drive a Class B box truck to provide onsite service for parts washer machines, pick up containerized hazardous waste, and sell products/services in a defined route. Safety-Kleen will pay for you to obtain your CDL.

Responsibilities include visiting multiple customer sites daily, servicing equipment, and upselling solutions while ensuring safety compliance under DOT and environmental guidelines.

Qualifications

• Class B CDL required.
• Hazmat and Tanker endorsements within 90 days of employment.
• Basic computer and math skills.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Background check, drug test and physical as required by position.
• Respiratory protection standards compliance.

Responsibilities

• Visit 10-12 customer sites per day.
• Switch out 15-30 gallon drums of solutions.
• Service parts washer machines and clean sediment from sinks.
• Upsell at customer locations and generate new leads.
• Service automotive repair, fleets, and manufacturing customers.
• Complete daily scheduled services, deliveries and pickups.
