Job summary

Republic Services is seeking a Driver - CDL (B) to safely operate a collection truck and provide prompt waste removal for customers. You will ensure vehicle compliance with safety standards and complete daily Vehicle Condition Reports to address any defects.

The role requires maintaining schedules, reading route sheets, loading waste, and interacting courteously with customers and dispatchers. A Class B CDL with air brakes endorsement is required.

Qualifications

• Valid Class B or higher CDL with air brakes endorsement.
• Ability to complete Vehicle Condition Reports daily.
• Commitment to safety and following company policies.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre- and post-operation vehicle inspections.
• Safely operate heavy truck on designated routes and service customers.
• Load refuse, operate compactor and dispose of material at the facility.
• Interact courteously with customers, dispatchers and colleagues.
• Identify unsatisfactory waste containers and tag containers as required.
• Monitor waste for quality and safety continuously.
• Clean area around spills and maintain vehicle cleanliness.
• Complete route productivity sheets and VCRs as required.
• Maintain productivity standards and meet service timelines.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
